Wondering what fits in the Onyx Leather Keychain Spellbook Dice Box? It's designed for 10mm dice, perfect for travel or a backup set. Learn more.
Quick Answer
The Onyx Leather Spellbook Dice Box is designed for 10mm dice, making it a compact travel companion rather than a full dice set holder. It suits a small backup set or a few precious dice, not a complete RPG kit.
Why 10mm Dice?
The box is specifically designed for 10mm dice, which are smaller than standard 16mm dice. This means you can't fit a full standard set (typically 7 dice) inside. Instead, it's perfect for a mini set, a few d6s, or a special d20 you want to carry safely.
The compact size also makes it ideal for travel or keeping dice handy for spontaneous games, but it won't replace your main storage solution.
Spiral vs. Open Style
The box comes in two styles: spiral and open. The spiral style is designed for more delicate dice, offering extra protection, while the open style provides easier access. Your choice depends on whether you prioritize safety or convenience.
If you carry gemstone or resin dice, the spiral style's added cushioning may be worth it. For quick access during a game, the open style is more practical.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How many dice can fit?
- It fits a small number of 10mm dice—typically a mini set of 5-7 dice, depending on the style. It won't hold a full standard-sized set. If you need a full RPG set, look for a larger dice bag or box.
- Can I use it for standard 16mm dice?
- No, the box is designed specifically for 10mm dice. Standard dice won't fit, so it's best for mini dice or individual d20s. Check your dice size before purchasing.
- Which style should I choose?
- Choose the spiral style for delicate dice that need extra protection, or the open style for easier access and a more classic look. Consider what you'll store and how often you'll access it.
